After earning a Master’s in Psychology, counseling in an adolescent psychiatric treatment center, and interning as a Grant Writer at a Domestic Abuse Center and a Homeless Shelter, Mary Schreiner has listened to diverse voices. The strength of these voices has inspired her to write flash fiction, literary fiction, poetry and essays highlighting community support.

She lives in Humboldt, Wisconsin and enjoys her family, her native gardens, and playing in the dirt.
